Before we had our beautiful brick-and-mortar restaurant on George Street North in downtown Peterborough, we were on wheels! Our original mobile food truck, The Back 40 Smoke Box, traveled the Kawarthas, smoking brisket and pulled pork in Fenelon Falls and Whitby. This summer, we are thrilled to announce that the Smoke Box has officially found a vibrant new home at Curve Lake First Nation 35!

Our Curve Lake food truck is fully loaded and firing on all cylinders, serving up our legendary wood-smoked favorites right in the community. Whether you are local, visiting the beautiful waterways of the Kawarthas, or spending a weekend at the cottage, you can slide on by for a hot, fresh pitmaster feast. We pack the exact same slow-smoked brisket, pulled pork buns, appleslaw, and crispy chicken wings that you love, all drizzled with our signature Sweet Whiskey Heat hot sauce.

Moving our truck to Curve Lake First Nation allows us to keep our mobile heritage alive while expanding our reach. Our family-run operation was born out of our farm in Bobcaygeon, and keeping a strong connection to the local communities of Kawartha Lakes is a core pillar of our identity.
